Please join us in prayer for the family of Jim Garlow as they both grieve and rejoice over the absence, in flesh, of their beloved Janie Garlow McGarity. I did not know Janie, personally, nor have I met the Garlows, but what I do know is this; if Janie was any reflection of her dad, and what I have heard of her mother - whom Janie has now reunited with - then she was a beautiful soul. Her battle with cancer may have ended her existence in this temporary tent of flesh, but her spirit has seen the face of Jesus (Yeshua), and there, in His magnificent and glorious presence, she remains forever- in perfected soul and spirit! What peace to have that assurance! And so we pray that each family member will be blanketed in the Shalom that surpasses all understanding; and that the memories of their beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, wife, mom, aunt, mom-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother (soon to be), stepdaughter, stepsister and friend - will linger long and deep in the souls of those who remain in flesh.
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Jim Garlow shared a very raw, emotional and powerful tribute to his beautiful daughter, Janie. Click on the link below to watch it. You will be blessed!
Watch to the end, for an exciting glimpse of what awaits those who sleep in Christ!
(the recorded interview of Jim's mother, as she was crossing through the thin veil that separates this life of flesh, from the life of spirit).
Awesome!!

For those of you who know what PS or "postscriptum" means, in letter writing (old-fashioned texting and e-mail, sometimes done on what we called typewriters 😃), I am adding a PS to this post:
PS: I posted the above tribute prior to viewing the prayer call #448, and was simply amazed at how Spirit of Truth led me to find the beautiful song 'When God Made You My Father'.
I knew Jim had mentioned in past videos that he and his former wife (now with Jesus) had adopted some children. I never heard him say how many or which ones. I did not know that his first child, Janie, was adopted. I never knew about the special bond and verbal prayer covenant he prayed over her, concerning his role as a father. My heart just longed to find a father/daughter song that would express that special bond, on this particular broken road, this side of heaven. I searched through several videos, and reluctantly chose one, but it did not settle into my soul. Then, while searching for information on Kay Arthur's graduation to heaven yesterday, a song popped up on my home page, with that sweet title, and I listened - there it was. I knew this was the song. It snugged into my soul like a cozy blanket. I thanked Spirit of Truth.
Later last evening, I was too late to join the 7PM prayer call, and decided to listen to Jim's tribute to his daughter, instead. Everything began to come together as I watched and soaked in every word and tear and prayer - and I could see those sweet lyrics fit like a shoe. God did choose Jim from amongst other potential fathers, to nurture and guide this very special child. We hear so much about parents choosing children. We rarely hear about God choosing parents for those children.
Our Father in heaven had Jim in His eyes for little Janie. Little Janie had her Father in heaven in her eyes for eternity. Everything works out together, fitting perfectly in place, when we walk in faith that our Father is leading the way, as He leads His chosen sheep towards HOME!
What more can we ask? The rest is wood, hay and stubble. By being available, and being His, we become the hands and feet of the greatest servant King that has ever been, and will ever be - Jesus of Nazareth (Yeshua the Messiah). I have JOY in knowing this Truth, even when the lights go out for a time, and we sit in the darkness of sorrow. Our faithful comforter is with us even then!
Emmanuel!

😃PSS: New update as of 6-5-25
You will be blessed by watching the following link of Jim's newest and last public tribute to Janie! I certainly was (even though I did see the livestream of her Celebration of Life) . There are a few added personal video tributes from beloved ones who were not in the emotional place to speak at the Celebration of Janie's life.
Good night, sweet Janie. We will see you when the Morning comes!
