Jesus' Prayer to the Father

JOHN 17: 1-26. (TLV-Tree of Life Version)

Jesus prayed this prayer to the Father/Adonai in the garden before He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, and arrested.  His prayer was not just for all His disciples at that time, but it was also for all those who would come to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  When Jesus was praying, you were on His mind.  He saw you and knew your name even before you were ever conceived in your mother's womb.  He called you out and set you apart for His purpose and plan in your life.  This prayer from the depths of His heart, reveals His great love for you and His earnest desire for you to know Him and the Father.

I pray you will read these words carefully and see the deep agony of His heart in these words to His Father for you.  May you come to know the love of Jesus Christ that still calls out to you today and receive Him into your heart.  This is for YOU.

The Son Glorifies the Father

John 17:1-26 TLV
[1] Yeshua spoke these things; then, lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so the Son may glorify You.

[2] Even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, so may He give eternal life to all those You have given Him.

[3] And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Yeshua the Messiah, the One You sent.

[4] I glorified You on earth by finishing the work that You have given Me to do.

[5] Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world came to be.”

[6] “I have made Your name known to the men of this world that You gave Me. They were Yours; You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.

[7] Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You.

[8] The words, which You gave Me, I have given to them. They received them and truly understood that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

[9] I ask on their behalf. Not on behalf of the world do I ask, but on behalf of those You have given Me, for they are Yours.

[10] All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.

[11] I am no longer in the world; but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name that You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.

[12] While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name that You have given Me. I guarded them, and not one of them was lost except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.

[13] “But now I am coming to You. I say these words while I am still in the world, so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.

[14] I have given them Your word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world just as I am not of the world.

[15] I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.

[16] They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

[17] “Make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth.

[18] Just as You sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

[19] And for their sakes I make Myself holy, so that they also may be made holy in truth.”

[20] “I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe in Me through their message,

[21] that they all may be one. Just as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You, so also may they be one in Us, so the world may believe that You sent Me.

[22] The glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, that they may be one just as We are one—

[23] I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me.

[24] “Father, I also want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory—the glory You gave Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

[25] Righteous Father, the world did not know You, but I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me.

[26] I made your Name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Please join us in prayer for the family of Jim Garlow as they both grieve and rejoice over the absence, in flesh, of their beloved daughter, Janie Garlow McGarity.  I did not know Janie, personally, nor have I met the Garlows, but what I do know is this; if Janie was any reflection of her dad, and what I have heard of her mother - whom she has now reunited with -  then she was a beautiful soul.  Her battle with breast cancer may have ended her existence in this temporary tent of flesh,  but her spirit has seen the face of Jesus (Yeshua), and there she remains forever.  What peace to have that assurance!  And so we pray that each family member will be blanketed in the Shalom that passes all understanding; and that the memories of their beloved daughter, sister, grandaughter, wife, mom, aunt, mom-in-law, step-daughter, step-sister and friend - will linger long and deep in the souls of those who remain in flesh.  

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Women baring their breasts in the public square is one thing.  They will find their foolish selves on full display before an insane jester's court.

But legalizing pedophilia is a desperate weighted matter that must be fought with persevering diligence.  A voiceless minority cannot and must not be neglected and distracted from by an unscrupulous lot of fools.  We must be their voices, those of the innocent, and not turn to the left or to the right.  We must focus on the children, and fight for them with every tactic we can use against their evil predators.  Silence, in this ongoing battle, will prove to be deadly.  

It is time to tweak and oil our armour, all you prayer warriors.  The battle did not end or pause with the 2025 inauguration of President Trump.  In fact, arrows have been flying steadily since 2016.  As the world gets darker (not climate change) the light is growing brighter!  But we cannot afford to lose hope, or loose our grip on the neck of the serpent.  

PRAY PRAY PRAY!!

A call to repentance for our defiance against the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob;  for we have orphaned Israel and her Jewish people, and have poured for ourselves a cup of reeling, of drunkeness, of staggering.

We have no option but one:

REPENT!

If we don't, we are blotted out, and no more.

REPENT!

Forever!

Can you say you are a true follower of Yeshua the Messiah if you do not stand for Israel?

Think about it.

Father, I lift up this prayer to You by way of the blood of Jesus, that covers all those who love and serve Him. I ask in Jesus' name, that You would raise up a standard against satan and all those who follow after him as their god.  Destroy all of their evil works, and protect those who love You and are calling out to You for salvation. According to Psalm 91, I decree and declare that the works of the enemy, satan, are null and void.

The name of Jesus brings fear to the enemy, because all power belongs to Jesus and His name.

Rebuke the enemy Father, for our sake, and destroy that hellish statue, that the foolish ones have errected in Houston Texas, and every state the enemy tries to plant it in. Destroy Molech and the Arc of Baal. Strike them down by Your might, Father, because You are God, and there is NO other.

We worship only You, and You only do we serve. You are the Great I Am, Elohim, KING of all kings and  LORD of all lords.

Father, we ask that every weapon the enemy tries to conjure up through devil worshipers or witchcraft, will be cut off completely. Let the power of Your Holy Spirt go forth, and move mightily against every evil work and  principality of darkness.

I ask Father, that You hear this prayer between us, and let every word be established by two or three witnesses. According to Your Word, it is done.

Topple all the plans of the enemy, and raise up Your Righteous Ones to be overcomers, over all of this attempted destruction.

I pray Peace and Safety over Israel and Jerusalem, and over America, the Body of Christ, and all of the innocent.

I ask You to open the eyes of all of the lost, those who are not following and serving You. Allow them to know the truth, if even for a moment, so that they might be saved and escape the hell and condemnation coming upon them IF they reject Jesus as Lord and Savior.

I ask divine protection over every believer of Jesus, and over their families. I ask that every weapon the enemy uses, will go back on the enemy instead, and a great Fear of You, Lord, will be put upon them, causing them to scatter. 

I ask Your forgiveness over our nation, for its great sins, and ask that You hear the prayers of Your people crying out for help, for change, and for mercy.

Lead us according to Your Will, Father, and protect the innocent. We love You YHWH, and mayYour Name be Holy Forever.

OUR FATHER, WHICH ART IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME. THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD, AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES, AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US. AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL. FOR YOURS IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY,

FOREVER AND EVER.

YHWH, hear the prayers of our nation's leaders.

Create in each one of them (and of course, in ME first) a clean heart, oh LORD, and renew a right spirit within them.

We need you NOW, oh LORD, more than any time in our nation's history.

Save us, Jehovah Hoshe'ha! 

Deliver us, Jehovah Mephalti!

Redeem us, Jehovah Go'el!

We cannot do this without your presence here with us, Jehovah Shammah

Remember us, Jehovah Ha Melek (our King)!

Are you feeling the crushing weight of the world's agonizing situation these days?  Wars and rumors of wars pose a critical threat from one end of the globe to the other.  From missiles to suicide drone attacks, the skies are darkening in bloody rage, and there is absolutely nothing that the majority of us can do about it.

Or is there?

We can PRAY!

Yes! Pray!  We can disappear into our  prayer closets within the deepest parts of our souls and plead our petitions before the throne of Grace.  We can fight this spiritual battle with the weapon of fervent prayer, rather than anger and hatred.  

I have invited this special 'Prayer' section into our little hollow to encourage each of us to remember the power and comfort that prayer offers, in times of distress as well as praise.  I will be posting prayers from brothers and sisters in Christ who have learned  that bruised and chafed knees are the marks of a disciplined spirit who understands that the spiritual world is indeed our reality.  This understanding should urge all of us to reckon that we must war from our spiritual reality if we desire our present status to change.

I pray that each one of you find respite in your prayer closets, and joy in your Salvation!
