Could I?
It is so easy, and sometimes self-righteous, to answer yes to this very serious question - when deep inside of our souls we harbor bitter unforgiveness.
The fruit of unforgiveness sits slowly rotting and decaying at the root of our intentions.
It shows itself in our whispered conversations in the dark, to ourselves and to others. Its stench overpowers our spiritual olfactory system until we become so accustomed to its odor that we no longer sense the decomposing stink of our own decline and death.
Yeshua made it CRYSTAL clear to each one of us:
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 ESV
