Matt. 16:24, Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." What does 'to take up your cross' mean to you?

"To take up your cross" means to surrender "all" for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It means giving up all your old ways of living and start walking in the newness of Jesus. The cross represents what Jesus did for us. He sacrificed everything and paid the ultimate price for our sins. Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the world so that we would have life eternal with Him. Jesus wants us to repent of our sins and follow Him. We are to leave behind and put to death all our selfish desires and wants in order to live the kind of life that pleases God. In Christ there is freedom. The way of sin leads to death, but the way of repentance leads to eternal life.
