I have a sign hanging in my livingroom with these words, "Joy is not in things, it is in us". I have often heard people say that happiness is hard to find but in reality, it is something to discover from within. What do you think?

Joy: more than 'happiness'. Joy: not easy to obtain but secure to grasp when found. Joy: every beings longing and every sorrow's lack. Joy: Hope. Joy: Faith Joy:Love
Joy to the world: Christ the Lord
Joy comes in many forms of emotions and experiences. There is joy in the cry of a new born baby, joy found in the love of a relationship, joy within friendships, family, and much more. The greatest joy I have experienced in my life was when I received Jesus Christ into my heart. I knew at that very moment Jesus had filled me with something new on the inside; the old me was gone and everything changed. He loved me inspite of who I thought I was and that reality brought so much joy and peace I had never felt before. In that very moment, He forgave me completely and washed all my sins away. I not only became brand new from the inside-out, but most of all, I became His child. My name was now written in the Lambs Book of Life and I would spend eternity in His heavenly kingdom. He has a plan for my life and has filled me with His Holy Spirit; I am no longer alone because of His great love.
There is a scripture verse I remember whenever I am walking through difficult times in my life. Psalm 30:5-"Weeping may endure through the night, but joy comes in the morning" (NKJV).
The Lord is our Joy when we remain in Him and fill up our hearts and lives with His Word. There could be no greater joy than having Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The joy of the Lord becomes your strength.
